Kuhn Scholarship Recipients
Though we had a number of excellent applicants for all the Kuhn Scholarships we could only choose three high school recipients and one college recipient. Our deep appreciation to Richard and Sally Kuhn and to Edward J. Kuhn for making these scholarships available and encouraging education and learning.
Heather Marks, recipient for a Continuing College Student. She is continuing at Wayne State University majoring in Interdisciplinary Arts.
Shannon Belsky, recipient of the Richard and Sally Kuhn Scholarship for a High School Graduate. Shannon graduated from Waterford Mott High School where she was involved in choir, marching band, (playing trombone) cheerleading and Hazards of Tobacco. She will be attending Western Michigan University to study nursing.
Kristen Marks, recipient of the Richard and Sally Kuhn Scholarship for a high school graduate. Kristen graduated from Waterford Mott High School where she was named Top Graduate for 2008 (4.1 gpa). She was involved in National Honor Society, tennis and band. She was one of Waterford’s “Select 50” graduates. Kristen is attending the Ohio State University where she is a Maximus Scholar. She plans to study chemical engineering.
Erica Sutherland, recipient of the Edward J. Kuhn Scholarship for a High School Graduate. Erica graduated from Mott High School where she was involved in Nation Honors Society, student council, Positive Peer Influence, soccer and orchestra. She is a Waterford “Select 50” recipient and earned all “A”s throughout high school. Erica will attend Grand Valley University Honors College and plans to major in biomedical science.
