2010 Recap:
Fundraising was very important in 2010. All miscellaneous funds reserved in our 'rainy day' account, plus all earnings in 2010 were used to help close the budget gap last year. Scrip transferred $22,000 over to the general budget in 2010, depleting all our reserve.
It may only be a bag of recycled newspapers, a V.G.'s receipt, buying gas with Scrip cards, linking your Kroger card to our church, shopping or searching online, but all these small efforts collectively made a huge difference in 2010! Thank you!
The fundraising results for 2010 show we sold fewer Scrip cards, and earned half as much in paper recycling. On the flip side, grocery store earnings were up compared to the previous year. Like the rest of the country, we're not eating out as much, but enjoying the gifts of home and family. Total earnings from all fundraisers in 2010: $5,576.09
Scrip:Thank you to the - 100 families actively using Scrip gift cards for groceries, gas, shopping and dining. We buy gift cards at a discount, and resell them at face value, earning ~ 5%. Thank You for Covering Shipping Fees! Barb Burns, Helen Fitzgerald (twice), Phyllis Liming, and Barb Spiece donated in January. In 2010 you generously donated shipping fees for 28 of 52 weeks!
