40 Days in Lent
Wednesday, February 17th - Saturday, April 3rd.
During the 40 days of Lent we have the opportunity to reflect on our lives and gain an understanding of our true lost condition. A time to focus on the Cross of Christ and to realize the love God has for the whole world.

Although Christmas and the New Year are just moments behind us our calendars remind us that we are just a few weeks away from the season of Lent. Lent is a time of reflection and preparation as we remember the journey Christ made to the cross to give his life as a ransom for all people.
A suggestion was made to use J. Ellsworth Kalas’s book; Easter From the Backside, it relates very well with our previous study Christmas from the Backside. I have purchased the books and have them available, the cost is $7.95. If you are interested please come see me and I will be happy to give you a book.
The Lenten book study will begin on Sunday, February 21st at 3:00 pm and end March 21st. In preparation for the class please read the Introduction and Chapter 1. The remaining four weeks will divide the book as follows:
- February 28, chapters 2 & 3;
- March 7, chapters 4 &5;
- March 14, chapter 6
- March 21, chapter 7 (all Sunday's 3:00-4:30 pm).
During our five weeks together we will remember, reflect and rejoice in the promise of Easter.
